WET PAINT

“Wet Paint” is Newport Art Museum’s annual weekend-long fund-raiser that is comprised of two silent auction art exhibitions and parties followed by one live auction for the higher bidded pieces. The premise of the show is that all artists must paint their entries the day of, hence the title “Wet Paint”, though submission of prior work is allowed. Both of my pieces this year were “true wet paints” meaning that I painted them between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. on the same day. I entered two pieces that I am particularly proud of, and both found happy homes.
